This restaurant was highly recommended and it lived up to expectation. I had the seafood pasta special and it was a delicious. It had all the good seafood that one can expect to savor from the waters just off the coast (clams, mussels, fish, shrimp). It was a savory, large portion, and if it had not been a breach of etiquette, I would have slurped the pasta sauce.
My husband had the fish special which he enjoyed. He and I both agreed that Fountain Cafe had the best seafood dishes we had during our stay in the Puget Sound/Hood Canal area. They also had a great wine selection that was complimentary to the food. -

I've eaten at this restaurant twice (lunches) while visiting Port Townsend, and this place is GREAT! Everyone in our group loved the food, selection and prices. A must try while visiting the cute town.
The food is quite wide ranging, spanning from sandwiches/salads to pasta dishes and beyond. Many dishes have a twist that elevates the flavour and makes your mouth water for more. There's also daily specials and a rotating aspect that favors the local cuisine and items in season. Sounds dumb, but the herb/salted butter that comes with bread is fantastic.
The space is relatively smaller and can get busy on weekends, so would recommend calling for a reservation or being ok to wait a few minutes. -

Food here was yummy.
Prices are ever so slightly high, but the atmosphere and service makes up for the difference.
I think the best thing about this place is that it stays open later than many of the other eateries.
We ordered about 5 dishes and we gobbled everything up.
Seafood is good here and worth returning to. Enjoy! -

Was looking for a good seafood place and stumbled upon this gem. It's not much to look at from the outside (I thought it was a sandwich shop), but once I saw the menu, I knew I had found someplace special. An added plus is their extensive wine list with plenty of Washington wines to choose from. I ordered the Grilled Halibut and was not disappointed. It was delicious! Would absolutely visit there again the next time I'm in town.

We almost made a terrible mistake and went to another place for dinner, but we would have missed an incredible meal!
Crab crakes! My wife said, "best she's ever had!"
Stuffed Mushrooms! Saffron, citrus seafood and cheese! Out of this world!
Lamb street tacos! Feta cheese sauce was incredible!
Ahi salad! Great balance of flavor, tuna cooked perfectly!
We will definite back!
